Grafted in or broken off?

Romans 11:20-21 “That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.” Brethren, Paul closes this chapter with how deep the knowledge of God and his wisdom are. How unsearchable and inscrutable His ways. That would include the topic of being broken off of God’s root of salvation because of pride. Our salvation is worked out in fear and trembling. We don’t simply walk away from the gospel like nothing happened, that surely shows the state of either how the person was unrepentant at heart or the gospel wasn’t preached. We do not continue in Jesus Christ with pride because we are saved, for pride is of our fallen nature. We live by faith, or hope in God and His return for His Church. Don’t look at God as your “friend”, but see Him as the one who is all-powerful and will break us off just as easily as He can graft us into the Kingdom of God. Remember, we don’t know all things, but God does. So if someone is cut off back into the world, God may be doing that to bring someone else to know Him at that moment while the one who was broken off might come to truly know God a year later! Again-how UNSEARCHABLE is God in all His ways! Amen.
