2 Corinthians 10:3-4 “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” Brethren, Paul was defending his ministry as an apostle from men in the church who were trying to causing derision within the church. Paul was charged by these men for walking with fleshly motives in mind instead of God’s will. Paul explains here that though he is in the flesh, he wages war with spiritual weapons. The weapons of God’s Word, prayer, faith, and fasting. These things have the ability to pull down spiritual strongholds. These weapons are used to combat lofty arguments and “knowledge” in the hands of unruly men. Paul’s intention was to spread the Gospel of grace to lands that did not yet hear it, while these men only wanted to pervert the same Gospel where Paul was already used to establish it. Stand joyously on the New Covenant if grace given by Jesus Christ. Men will always be there peddling a works-based salvation, but they most likely never understood grace. Fight such cases with the weapons of our newfound warfare. The weapons of God’s Word, faith, prayer, and fasting. God bless you!
