1 Corinthians 10:8-10 “We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day. We must not put Christ to the test, as some of them did and were destroyed by serpents, nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer.” Brethren, Paul was now speaking to the Corinthian churches about how the errors of the Jewish/Hebrew people were done as examples for us to not follow the same path or make the same sinful choices. Specifically he speaks on putting Christ to the test TOO FAR (Jesus Christ is throughout the Old Testament) sexual immorality, and grumbling. In the realm of sexual immorality for us today, Satan has other more “secret ways” of fulfilling our lusts now. Whether it be with the computer, phones, tv-we think that being alone means…that we’re alone! But that shows how in knowledgable we are about God. God is ever-present. He knows your inner-most parts! He knows us or moves before we even make them. I would urge us today to dwell seriously on God, and dwell to the point of being in awe and reverence for Him. Sin in momentarily, but God is eternal. Why would you satisfy the momentary while you’ll only be reaping what’s eternal? God bless you.
