Ezekiel 7:27 “The king mourns, the prince is wrapped in despair, and the hands of the people of the land are paralyzed by terror. According to their way I will do to them, and according to their judgments I will judge them, and they shall know that I am the Lord.” Why are people so against receiving wise council or instruction? Because pride lies to you and makes you think you know something when, in reality, you don’t. The Jewish people were intent on following their own way in idolatry. God would warn them of their sins consequences, but they wouldn’t repent. Finally, in Ezekiel 6-7, you see God pouring forth His vengeance against the land. He finishes this chapter by saying, ” and they shall know that I am The Lord.” Would you rather seek to know The Lord yourself or have Him show you? Because the times that he has had to show foolish sinners who He was, men/women got jacked up! If you have idolatry in your heart or are struggling with a persisting sin, repent and seek to know God deeper. The more you know God, the less you wanna know your sin. Seek after The Giver of life, and turn away from your own path that leads to death. God bless you!
