Ezekiel 3:20 “Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand.” Brethren, Ezekiel is commissioned as a watchmen to his own house of Israel. To speak God’s Word both to the wicked and the righteous. Where are our watchmen in our churches today? The church is becoming man-centered and not God-centered, it compromises godliness for the world, and allows sin to be unchecked due to how we may hurt people’s feelings. What NONSENSE! For anyone who holds to that, I see how little your theology must be! Come now! Don’t you see that. Watchmen must deliver both good and bad news for the safety of the nation!? The church is God’s spiritual nation on earth, and we are to stand at the walls to preach the GOSPEL and keep people from sin! That’s being done less and less these days, and we will be held accountable with the blood of many souls on our hands before God. How many souls have you let slip through your hands because of your fear to address ones sin, and to hold them accountable before God Almighty? Prepare to give an account for them. The righteous that are in Christ are not exempt as well. God’s sovereignty has all of us remain accountable for our sin. Are we addressing the righteous as well as the wicked? Take a lesson of boldness from Ezekiel today. God’s Spirit is in us and will allow us to speak truth in love. Be watchmen and guard the Church! Amen.
