“Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name. He will surely plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.” – Jeremiah 50:34. Brethren, the LORD is our Redeemer. A ‘redeemer’ is someone who is a kinsman who avenges, protects, secures release, and retains a property for a relative. That is the position that our LORD of hosts, Jesus Christ, takes for the glorification of the Father, and for our sake. The property of our eternal inheritance could never be secured by our goodness or holiness because we have fallen to hold our inheritance via our own doing. Only The Perfect could do such a thing, and He has. He also protects our inheritance! Praise God! Anything that comes against our eternal security, Jesus Christ fights to keep its security! Rejoice in our Redeemer! Our kinsman who has secured our eternal inheritance and never stops until the day that we are with Him, together in the presence of God! Amen.
