God’s love brings God’s faithfulness.

Jeremiah 31:3 “the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” Brethren, God’s plan of Sovereign grace gas always been whispered throughout mankind’s history. The fact that Adam and Eve didn’t get obliterated for sinning is a sure sign of grace from God upon men. This is because God’s will, purpose and glorification suprecede any attempts at goodness by man. God delights in a humble, broken, and repentant heart. He does not take pride in your attempts at keeping the law. Here in this verse, we see God’s love for His people being what promoted the continuance of His faithfulness. Remember that while we obey God’s commands as a means of becoming more intimate with Him, the commands themselves don’t save us. Only God’s will through Himself can save us. Rest in God’s perfect grace given freely to you through Christ, and never in yourselves. God bless you!
