Acts 9:31 “So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.” What is it to walk in the fear of The Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit? Is it a contradiction to feel fear and comfort? The early church had the assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but that didn’t mean that they forgot to live in reverence and respect for God. I pray that while we live with overwhelming joy to know our eternity is secure through Jesus Christ, our reverence for The Lord will not be effected. Our walk should be a healthy balance of comfort in and respect for God. To not live in such a way would only cause either too much liberalism in the church or too much restriction. Walk the line today brethren. God bless you.
