Sola Scriptura

Romans 9:32-33 “Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone, as it is written,“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.” Brethren, God has indeed out a stone of stumbling in the midst of His people to see whether they truly live by faith or by works in and of themselves. There will be times where speaking from scripture, even in church, will cause derision among the people. That’s because God’s Word is sharper than any two-edged sword (Heb. 4:12). It is an offense to many. If any doctrine goes against scripture, then it is not God breathed. For example, some believe that you need to perform works to be saved but Romans 9 confirms that’s not the case. It is faith in Jesus Christ ALONE. God gets all the glory all the time, not us. Romans 8:21-39 also confirms against losing ones salvation. It states that nothing can separate us from the love of God. When it is God who wants to exemplify His nature, He will do it perfectly. If He has predestined us, then He has predestined us (Romans 8:29-30). Us being created cannot say ‘Why have you done these things?’, who are we to question God? (Romans 9:19-23). We simply live by complete faith in God as our omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent LORD, Creator and Savior. Amen!
