Where are we?

After walking about in New York City, I was heart-burdened with a horrific truth. As this sinner saved by grace walked through the city streets, I saw the constant persistence of the Jehovah Witness cult. I live in the Bronx, NY and have talked to many of them-mostly to no avail. Those of you who don’t know much about the Jehovah Witnesses, they were founded in the early 1900’s by a man by the name of Charles T. Russell. This man was raised in a Christian home, but after reading the Bible, he didn’t like the idea of Hell. So he made his own doctrine. Unfortunately, amidst its flimsy doctrine, I witnessed how many New Yorkers were stopping to speak to these Jehovah Witnesses. How they spent time asking questions of a misleading cult, while I felt like the only one apologetically speaking to them about the true gospel. This concern brings me to why I am writing this.

My primary reason for writing this is, where are we? Where are the Christians on the street corners, persistently seeking souls, and out passing tracks? I would urge us, wherever you may be, to preach the Gospel! Whether it’s the neighbor next to you, or preaching on a throng of hearers-preach! If we don’t, we will watch many lead astray by false-gospels, only for them to spend away there lives to judged and condemned to Hell, because they did not believe in Jesus Christ as God.
