Romans 15:1-2 “We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.” Brethren, I think sometimes when you’re around those weaker in the faith or unbelievers may bring us to a place of temptation, that’s when your faith is tested in upholding what you know to be true. I say that because sometimes we may bend in God’s standards because another believer doesn’t believe as strongly or an unbeliever is cutting corners. For us, that’s sinful-and I am surely convicted. Paul says here to please our neighbor so that they may be built up. Maybe they need to see your loving reaction so that they may see Christ! Paul also said that we have an OBLIGATION to bear with the failing of the weak. We shouldn’t allow ourselves to relax in our faithfulness towards God because someone else doesn’t believe as strongly. Our life is not our own but God’s, and is on account of others to see the love, passion, faithfulness, and commitment that we have of the LORD. Praise God!
