Cleanse the temple!

Matthew 21:12-13 “And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” Amen brethren. Isaiah 56:7 holds the verse in which Jesus spoke when He expelled the sinful people out of the temple. Interestingly enough, Isaiah 56 spoke about the LORD gathering the outcasts of Israel to Himself, and preceding Matt. 21:13, Jesus heals the lame and sickly. Jesus is truly LORD amen? I wonder, at your church, are there money-changers and thieves today? Are there those who come to profit for themselves or do they truly come to pray and praise the one true living God? This is certainly an issue in Americanized Christianity where health, wealth and prosperity are the molds that people try to fit scripture into. I would urge that we, as God’s elect, take notice and wake up to the sinful practices in our church’s and not make a den of thieves, but a house of prayer. We were all saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. I pray that we all come to worship and glorify Him with our uttermost when we come together as a body. God be with you today.
