Childlike Faith

Matthew 19:13-14 “Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Amen, isn’t it funny sometimes how we think we know so much? Every time Jesus’ 12 disciples thought they knew something, Jesus was quick to humble them down from there pedestal. When thinking about child-like faith, what do you think about? We don’t act like children do-that’s not what the verse is saying, but rather our FAITH (Assurance of things hoped for) should be unwavering in our LORD, just like the innocent trust that a child puts in the word of an adult. For me personally, today I’m going to focus on not assuming that I know things and truly be fixated on my faith in Yeshua the Messiah. God bless you all today.

  1. That’s a beautiful verse, it was read when my daughter was baptized. Children are lucky in a lot of ways. Over the years this broken world takes a toll on us and hardens our heats. It will happen to our children as they get older too, but for a time I think they’re faith is stronger than ours—they’re not bothered by the politics of the Church, or the critics who use “reason” to tear down Christians.

    1. Amen, and I sincerely pray that we have faith like that so that anytime we encounter those people that try to dissuade us from the truth, our faith an love dissuades THEM to the truth of the gospel.
